When Ace was first seen within the 1994 comedy Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, the best (and solely) pet detective was trying to find a misplaced Shih Tzu. Being a grasp of disguise, Ace dressed as an HDS supply man, and rescued the canine that had been kidnapped. The canine's proprietor was very keen to point out her appreciation to Ace!
